Gavin Edwards (FMAAT) – Director

 

 After realising at the age of 17 my dream of being a professional footballer and playing for the likes of Barcelona was never going to happen, I decided to move into accountancy.  

 

I was offered my first full time position with a small accountancy practice in 1999 as a trainee. After 3 years of learning the art of basic accounting (and making the best tea in Hampshire) it was time to expand my knowledge and move on to a bigger company where I could gain more experience. 

 

For the next 16 years, I worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants in Hampshire.  In that time I studied at both Farnborough College of Technology and Guildford College, where I gained my accountancy qualification in 2008.

 

I enjoy spending my free time with my young family and trying to keep fit.  I still play the occasional game of football and still cling to the hope that one day I will get seen by a scout from Barcelona!
